Sam’s Bio

A veteran real estate attorney, Sam Maguire's expertise encompasses the full spectrum of the industry. Before becoming an attorney, Sam was a mortgage banker for nearly a decade, and he is also a licensed real estate agent.

Sam completed his undergraduate studies in 1986 at the University of Georgia where he received a bachelor's of art degree in economics. He later earned his judicial degree in 1993 from Atlanta Law School.

In 1994, Sam formed the Law Offices of Sam F. Maguire. The firm performs closings for residential and commercial properties. Since its opening as a private practice for a single lawyer, the firm has grown into one of the highest volume for a single proprietor in Georgia. While the firm has been entrusted with closing over 50,000 loans since opening its doors, the personal touch involved in each and every one of those closings has never wavered.

The firm has expanded its services to include tax-free exchanges and offers an in-house title examination company, Augusta Title Inc., as well as an office in Florida, Pinecrest Premier Title, LLC.

Sam has extensively studied technology and has made his firm into a technological leader in the industry. Because of his vast knowledge, he has been asked to contribute to professional journals by authoring articles on technology in the real estate industry.

Sam is also noted for his talent to educate home buyers and sellers, especially first-time buyers who are unsure about the process. A noted public speaker and motivator, he established Maguire University and offers a variety of classes, including Reading a Settlement Statement, What is Title Insurance, and What is the Real Mortgage Rate.

He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and holds both a Georgia real estate agent's license and a Georgia real estate broker's license. The Augusta native resides in the Northwest area of Atlanta with his wife, JoAnn, and daughter, Reita.
